Almay Intense i-Color Volumizing Mascara Review

Of all the cosmetic items out there, the one item I cannot live without is mascara. I would rather go without foundation than mascara. Mascara gives your face a finished look. One particular mascara I found that does a great job is Almay Intense i-Color Volumizing Mascara. This product provides a clump-free, smooth application. Additionally, the color is intense. My favorite color of mascara is black and Almay’s Midnight for Hazel Eyes is the perfect color. It actually brings out the color of my eyes. Besides the color, this product does provide volume to my lashes. Now, this is not the crazy volume you would get with false eyelashes; yet, it is a natural volume that makes my lashes stand out.

Mary Kay TimeWise Microdermabrasion Set Review

I absolutely love skin care products. It is important to take care of your skin and Mary Kay products always seem to do the job. Their TimeWise Microdermabrasion Set is no exception. The set consists of two products. The first is essentially an exfoliator. You first wet your face and then apply the “Step 1” in small circular motions to your face. You can feel it working as you gently massage the product over your skin. After rinsing your face, you apply a small amount of “Step 2”. The second step is a luxurious lotion. The two steps combined leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. Over time, I have really been able to see and feel a difference in the texture of my skin.

Five Pieces to Help Keep You Cool This Summer

Jackets, slacks and closed-toe pumps; office clothing tends to be reminiscent of fall and winter styles. During the summer months, it seems impossible to dress for the office and be comfortable. Do not despair, though. It is possible to dress professionally and stay cool. By incorporating a few pieces into your office wardrobe, you will be set for the heat and the office.

Three-Quarter Sleeve Jacket

Three-quarter sleeve jackets have become very popular the past couple of years. During winter months, these jackets were worn with long-sleeve blouses to look chic and keep the wearer warm. For the summer, this type of jacket is perfect for the office. The jacket can be paired with a modest camisole or short-sleeve buttoned blouse to remain cool and stylish.

Ankle Pants

Although shorts and capris scream summer, they are not appropriate for the office. Ankle pants offer an alternative to slacks that can be worn for work and can transition into fun. Ankle pants are about two to three inches shorter than a regular pant, yet these few inches offer a cooling mechanism on a hot day.

Lightweight Cotton Buttoned Blouse

Many times it is not the style of clothing that keeps us cool, it is the material of the clothing. By adding a lightweight cotton buttoned blouse to your wardrobe, you can beat the heat and still be office ready. Give yourself different options and purchase a few blouses in different colors to incorporate into your summer style choices. 

Khaki Skirt

At first thought, a khaki shirt may not seem like a professional option for the office. However, there are many options of khaki clothing and many professional khaki styles. When purchasing a khaki skirt for the office, avoid cargo styles and opt for a flat-front pencil skirt.

Peep-toe Pump

Many summer shoe options are should only be worn for fun in the sun. There is one option that is great for the office; a peep-toe pump. The peep-toe mimics the look of a sandal, while giving the coverage of an office shoe style.
